Men's Cancer Support Group
Posted or Updated on 31 Jan 2025
The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service in collaboration with Helen Rollason are setting up a men’s support group for patients and male carers of patients with cancer. The group which is called ‘Butties and Banter’ will meet the third Friday of the month, from 10am – 12pm at Helen Rollason Centre at the Leisure Zone in Harlow. Please find flyer enclosed. There is free parking, the venue is very close to Harlow Bus Station. The group is open to residents of East Herts and West Essex.
Butties and Banter will be launched on Friday 21st February 2025 . The group will hopefully be a relaxed friendly environment to meet other male cancer patients and carers for an informal get together on a monthly bases. There will be the opportunity to find out more about other local support and services, if this would be of interest, but it is more a chance for some interesting enjoyable social interaction over a cup of tea/coffee and a bacon/cheese butty.
Patients or male carers are more than welcome to just pop along on the 21st February but if you have any further questions, please contact Darshani Mistry on 07415 613288, or email us on Westessex.cancerinformation@nhs.net.
